Meet Your Therapist—MacKenzie

Hi! I’m MacKenzie Sering, a licensed therapist, mom and partner.

I’ve been a therapist for over a decade and specialize in perinatal and postpartum mental health, new parenthood relationships, and major life transitions. I help individuals and couples find calm within the chaos, strengthen communication, and reconnect to themselves and each other during life’s most tender (and toughest) seasons.

I have advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and trauma-informed care and provide therapy that is warm, honest, and deeply attuned to the realities of early parenthood. As a mom and partner myself, I know the delicate intricacies that this season can bring.

Whether you're a brand-new mom or dad, an expecting couple, or just trying to make sense of the emotional rollercoaster that this phase of life can bring — you don’t have to do it alone.

I support clients through:

  • Postpartum depression, anxiety, and identity loss

  • Relationship tension and miscommunication after baby

  • A birth experience that didn’t go as planned

  • Balancing parenthood, partnership, and personal well-being

  • Emotional regulation, overwhelming thoughts, and stress recovery

In addition to my work with new and expecting parents, I also support men and women experiencing anxiety, depression, and identity changes that often surface during times of transition. Whether you’re struggling with feeling overwhelmed, communication breakdowns, or a sense of feeling stuck, therapy can offer a place to pause, reflect, and realign.

My style is inclusive, down-to-earth, and rooted in compassion. Professionally, I have advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy and exposure therapy. I believe therapy should feel like an exhale — a place where you don’t have to hold it all together. Together, we’ll make space for healing, clarity, and connection — so you can feel more grounded, supported, and aligned with the person, parent and partner you want to be.

Available for virtual therapy in Indiana and Arkansas.
